It was a bloody Wednesday in some localities in the troubled North West and South West Regions of Cameroon today.
A gun battle between security forces and pro independence fighters in Bambalang, Ngohketunjia Division, North West Region left at least three Ambazonian fighters dead.
Guns and other ammunitions were seized from the fighters.
Reports from Mbveh, a locality in Kumbo, Bui Division, say some five soldiers were shot dead following hours of gunfight this afternoon.
Calm is still to return to the area which has suffered series of attacks recently.
At least 10 players of the University of Buea Football Club kidnapped early today are yet to be released.
According to the coach of the club Nicolas Amongu, the players were taken at around 9:00 am in a football field on campus situated behind the school restaurant.
The players were training ahead All University Games in the month of May.
The administration of the University Buea has not issued any official statement following the kidnapped.
Ambazonians fighters are said to be responsible for the kidnapping.

Ngafesson Emmanuel Banta sources in Bamenda in the north west region of Cameroon say was kidnapped this morning from his Ntabesi residence.
No one has claimed responsibility of the incident though there is a general believe that the act has been committed by Anglophone militia called the Ambazonia fighters.
Professor Gervais MENDO ZE will have to spend fifteen more years in prison after he was Tuesday March 19th, 2019, sentenced for 20 years in jail.
The former General Manager of the Cameroon Radio and Television (CRTV) was sentenced at the Special Criminal Court in Yaounde, for embezzlement of public funds while he served at General Manager at CRTV.
The court also charged him to pay the sum of 15 billion francs cfa.
Other person's sentenced include AMANG A BETEGNI 18 years in prison and charged 99 million francs cfa.

Mozambique:
Mozambique's port city of Beira is reeling from the damage inflicted by Cyclone Idai.
So far 200 people have been confirmed dead in the southern African country, along with another 100 in neighbouring Zimbabwe, but the death toll could be much higher.
Those who survived the disaster have had little reprieve to mourn the loss of their loved ones or salvage the little that is remaining of their belongings. They are in desperate need of food, shelter and clothing.
Ghana:
Google has apologised to Ghana's finance ministry and central bank for displaying a wrong exchange rate for the Ghanaian currency, the cedi, on its currency converter.
On Friday, Google's currency converter said it took 22 cedis to buy one US dollar, when
the correct rate was four times less.
Google said in a letter to the ministry and bank that the error occurred because of a “minor glitch” but was “quickly fixed”.
