- Cristiano Ronaldo motivated his move to Juventus by the need of the new challenge.
- He also suggested that Messi 'is afraid' of such challenge staying in Spain his whole career.
- Zlatan Ibrahimovic reckons such a claim is absurd, with Juve almost guaranteed to win Serie A every season.
- A real challenge would be to join a second-division team and made them champions, the 37-year-old concludes.
Former Blaugrana Zlatan Ibrahimovic has labelled Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer to Juventus "bulls***" as it's far from being a challenge in any regard.
Shortly after signing for the Old Lady in the summer transfer window, the Portuguese superstar urged Leo Messi to join him in Italy in what he called a challenge.
"I've played in England, Spain, Italy, Portugal and for my national team, while he's still in Spain," said Ronaldo.
"Maybe he needs me more. For me, life is a challenge, I like it and I like to make people happy. He's a fantastic player and a good guy, but I don't miss anything here. This is my new life and I'm happy."
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not having any of it as the Swede has decided to shut down this rather nonsensical claim.
"Cristiano is talking about new challenges, he calls it a challenge to move to a club where it is already normal to win the Serie A,” summed up the situation Ibrahimovic, as per the Express.
“Why did he not choose a club from a second division a few years ago?" Try to become a champion with such a second-division champion and lead them to the highest level, which is a challenge.
“It is bulls***, moving to Juventus is not a challenge at all."
