Cameroon’s Salatiel brings you a celestial number titled “Anita,” a number that will speak to anyone who has ever dared to love.
The tale may sound familiar to many, and in fact it should, for Salatiel himself admitted it was based on a true life story. Here, though, no real names are given. That’s just as well. The song did well without that.
“Anita” takes you through the turmoil of teenage love, and the manifestations thereafter. If you find the audio of the song hard to follow, don’t worry. The song has got a music video as well, and it further accentuates the message.
Salatiel is one fine voice in Cameroon’s music universe, the brains behind several fine songs. Beside a fine reputation as a solo artiste, he is justly recognized as a competent collaborator as well.
He had featured on Mr Leo’s “C’est La Vie,” teamed up with meshi to deliver “Rembourser,” as well as dropped “Comme Ça (A Nous Deux)” in collaboration with Daphne. Other songs to his credit are “Weekend” and “Toujours.” A meagre list you have here.
Salatiel himself produced “Anita.”
